Since 1985 to 31.08.2014 I worked as an anaesthetist nurse in the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit in District Complex Hospital in Konin. I have been employed at the position of RGN rotating between ICU / Anesthesiology and Recovery Units. There are 1000 beds in this hospital. In the hospital, there are 10 operating rooms, there are neurosurgery, general surgery, pediatric surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology ENT, gynaecology, obstetrics, urology, gastroenterology. I work competently, under appropriate supervision, in the role of Physicians’ Assistant (Anaesthesia), within their code of professional practice, being aware of boundaries of the role and referring patients to other healthcare professionals as appropriate.

Since 01.09.2014 I have been working as a Theatre Practitioner in Main Theatre in Peterborough & Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Providing, or participates in the provision of, advanced specialized nursing and anaesthesia services to patients requiring anaesthesia, respiratory care, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and/or other emergencies, life-sustaining services wherever required. Advanced specialized nursing and anaesthesia services incorporate the biological and behavioural sciences into practice as they relate to patients and their families.
2. Assessed patient's medical history in relation to the patient's response to anaesthesia.
3. Assisting the anaesthetist with the planned and unplanned anaesthetic- deal with anything from babies respiratory difficulties to a major road traffic accident and other Victims with polytrauma.
4. Admission, evaluation, assistance and discharge of patients
5. Preparing and checking anaesthetic machines, intravenous drugs and fluids.
